a mother's watchful eye
Was fortunate to watch an adult great horned owl care for an owlet this spring. I was able to photograph the owlet from early February until April at the same tree and nest here in Ocala. Early on, the owlet stayed in the nest. Mom was always nearby protecting from predators and providing meals.
