As I navigate the journey of aging, I find myself returning to the essential truths that anchor and uplift me—faith, resilience, and grace. Calm in the Storm was born from this introspection. The dove, a timeless symbol of peace and spiritual endurance, rises through turbulent skies toward divine light, unshaken by the chaos around it.
This work represents the quiet strength that comes with age—the understanding that even in the midst of life’s fiercest storms, there is beauty, clarity, and calm to be found. I am grateful for the storms that taught me to fly, the light that never left me, and the wisdom that only time could give.
Painting this piece reminded me that gratitude doesn't come from a life free of hardship, but from the courage to rise through it.
