Created through a process of layering, scraping, and surrender, this mixed-media work reflects the slow reveal of insight that often comes with age. The heart was never part of the plan—it surfaced on its own, emerging from the textured landscape like something remembered, not invented.
As I worked, the materials taught me something I’ve come to be deeply grateful for: the wisdom of allowing. Of not forcing clarity. Of trusting that what matters will rise—sometimes from chaos, sometimes from stillness.
This piece is about gratitude for what we find not through striving, but through staying present with the process. It honors the idea that with time and age, the heart does, eventually, show up.
